A small number of builders currently use MgO boards in coastal areas because of its mildew and insect repelling properties and strength to withstand hurricane-type conditions.
MGO board is a naturally occurring mineral that is abundant worldwide. It is silvery white in its original form, turning a soft gray during processing. Magnesia is completely free of toxins, including formaldehyde, silica, asbestos, heavy metals and organic solvents.
